CMA signs a contract for the provision of the Check Clearing Processing solution to the Central Bank of Dominican Republic.
Santo Domingo, DR, August 11th, 2010. CMA of Sweden announced today that it has succesfully concluded contract negotiations and entered into a contract for the provision of its Check Processing solution (SISTEMA DE CAMARA DE COMPENSACION ELECTRONICA DE CHEQUES) to the Central Bank of Dominican Republic (BCRD - Banco Central de Republica Dominicana).
The mission of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic is to guarantee price stability, appropriate regulation of the financial system and suitable performance of the payment systems, acting as the issuing and the executing entity of currency and exchange politics, in accordance with the attributions set forth by the Constitution and the laws.
CMA's solution has been selected by the BCRD as the result of the international procurement organized by the World Bank, within the scope of the Payment System Reform of the Dominician Republic. The selected solution is based on CMA's RTS/X clearing component with an addition of the check processing module.
As a winner of this international tender, CMA is to provide an Electronic Clearing House solution for checks, including all the elements of software, systems and complementary services for the Solution's provision, implementation, qualification, maintenance, support, training and documentation, and also to integrate it with the hardware, communication equipment and basic software of the Central Bank and with the participating entities' systems, satisfying all the technical specifications of the BCRD. The solution shall be safe and flexible, allowing for its integration with the BCRD internal applications, as well as the adaptations and improvements that may be required in the future.
