The National Bank of Laos awards CMA a contract for the Provision of RTGS and ACH solutions
Stockholm, August 6, 2010. Today, CMA announced the signing of a contract for the supply of a Real Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS) and an Automated Clearing System ACH to the National Bank of Laos. In CMA product portfolio, these solutions are both known as RTS/X solution.
CMA has been chosen by the National Bank of Laos as a partner because of its international experience in the field of payment systems. CMA cooperates in this project with a local partner: the company CSCC (Central Services Computer Communications Ltd), which has been active in the sphere of IT in Laos for many years
An objective of introducing a new payment system in Laos is first and foremost to promote and maintain a sound and efficient financial system. The proposed solution is a fully-functional package that is currently under operation in many countries. It is based on a modern architecture and is compliant with the World Bank and BIS principles and recommendations for payment systems, thus allowing the mitigation of many types of related risks such as systemic, liquidity, credit and operational risks. CMA systems have adopted a “business process” philosophy and have been designed according to state-of-the-art information technology and telecommunications. These features allow CMA to satisfy its Clients’ requirements at a very high level, as confirmed by the feedbacks of our Customers.
